Today was not a good day for France in the news (again):

France should train its own imams, says minister - Do they really think that training more imams will help to control the spread of fundamentalism?

France shoulders shame of heat deaths - Health laws that deny facilities the abilty to use climate control (read: air conditioning), maybe they do think that training more imams will halt the spread of fundamentalism. And the Health Ministers obviously need to spend a summer in Central Florida to get perspective on air conditioning.

Iran tried to buy nuclear equipment from France: report - So if you can't beat them, train more of 'em and sell 'em nuclear equipment? Is this the new rule?

NAACP files complaint against Florida education department - Perhaps it's time to start concentrating on why the students aren't performing instead of attacking the test. Maybe it's not the test. Or are they scared of what the truth might be?

Palestinians are at the crossroads - The Toronto Sun is catching on to what the blogosphere has been saying for a while now.

Teaching History: Fact or Fiction? - The manipulation of history for political purposes is one of the most offensive acts I see taking place in our schools right now.
