LOOK! More Evil US Oppression In Afghanistan!

Well, we can now add another item to our list of devilishly evil deeds we have perpetrated in Afghanistan.

First, we deposed the Taliban without killing millions. Next, we provided the Afghani people with food and medical care. Then we had the gall to send Afghani girls, girls mind you, to school. And now for our latest evil: because of us, Afghani girls are now playing soccer.

Next thing you know, the envirowackos will be blaming us for the creation of SUV driving Afghani soccer moms. If only we hadn't liberated their women and instead had invested more in building smooth, yet environmentally friendly roads.

Oh what evil horrors will we inflict on the poor defenseless Afghani people next?

I didn't see any mention in the story of anyone, much less "envirowackos," opposing the girls playing soccer (other than the Taliban, of course). I'm all for mockery of environmentalists, but I'm not sure where the basis for it is here. Where does anyone claim girls playing soccer is evil? I'm obviously missing some information here.

You're absolutely correct in that other than the Taliban, no one else is mentioned as opposing Afghani girls playing soccer. I was using over the top sarcasm to point out how some of the anti-US crowd might manipulate something like this to take a cheap shot at the US, even when we do something good.

Do I really expect to hear the envirowackos making that claim? Not really. But do I think that they could head down that sort of a line of thinking? Absolutely.

One of these days I'll remember to use the /sarcasm tags when I go way out like this. :-)
