Inspections that work

FOXNews.com is reporting in their blue sidebar that we have now confirmed that Iraq was shooting Scuds at us. You know - the ones they don't have?

In the lead up to the war, a joke running around here was that if Blix didn't find anything our 250,000 inspectors would.

Hans Blix and his Keystone Kops spent months apparently going door to door asking "Do you have any banned Scuds in here? No. OK then. Give me a call if you find one. Thanks."

We sent in our 250,000 inspectors. We basically challenged Saddam to use or lose it. He used them. We found in 48 hours what Blix couldn't find in more than four months.

I wonder if our friends in the UN are going to try to spin a conspiracy theory to make the Apollo doubters proud. I wonder how long it will be before they start trying to patronizingly explain to us how those couldn't have been Scuds because Hans promised that he didn't find any while hanging out in Baghdad's finest restaurants. They will tell us that we have interpreted the evidence wrong - even if we find the equivalent of a "Made by Scud" label.

How about that? The UN was right. Inspections can work.

Ha- this one looks funny in retrospect- there were no WMD. You look like an idiot.
