About Me

So who exactly am I?

I'm right around thirty years old. Going on eight years of having worked in retail, the last year as a store manager. I also spent three years working the ramp for Delta AirLines in Orlando and worked as a stockbroker for two different brokerage firms.

I have traveled more than the average person my age. I have been through several European nations, Israel, Jordan, the Bahamas and Mexico.

My interests include investing, economics, history, and travel. My hobbies include collecting ancient Greek, Roman and Byzantine coins and artifacts of the same time periods. I also done some freelance website development.

I live just outside of Orlando, FL with my other half and three kids. In my college career I attended both Florida Southern College and eventually graduated from the University of Central Florida.

I am a very big fan of football. Collegiately I enjoy watching either UCF or the University of Miami. Come NFL season, the Miami Dolphins are my Sunday torture. I also enjoy watching NASCAR during the football free spring and summer months.

Rules for my site

I don't want to set out a numbered list of rules or anything like that. I just want to make sure that some things are understood.

This is my blog. It is a compilation of whatever thoughts or interesting things that I decide to post. All opinions expressed on the site are mine and mine alone.

On most posts I leave open the comments section because I really do want to get feedback. My opinions are usually not cut in stone. I have been known to change an opinion based on a persuasive and well-constructed factual argument.

That being said, the comments sections are a privilege, not a right. This being my site, paid for with my money, I reserve the right to close the comments section on any post or to erase any comments that I deem to be inappropriate. I am generally pretty accepting in this regard. To date, I have not deleted any comments and don't have any plans to start.

I'm open to debate and criticism. Feel free to challenge anything you see written on this site. Feel free to fact check anything written on this site. I will vehemently defend a defensible position, but I will also freely admit when I'm wrong.

It is not my goal to get people to think just like me - that would truly be a scary thought - my goal is to get people to think about things, maybe a bit differently than they normally do. If I can make you analyze a situation from a slightly different point of view, then I have succeeded in my goal. Even if your ultimate position is 180° opposed to mine, as long as I made you think it through again, I'm happy.

One other important thing. Part of the way that I look at things is through "what if" scenarios. If you ever see the words "what if" in a post, please understand that what follows is pure conjecture. It is not based in fact; it is merely a compilation of supposition and opinion.
